Waiting

We could be within a week of hearing we can close. My realtor said the second mortgage bank asked for the same papers the first bank asked for regarding the seller's finances. Since those records were already at hand, they were passed on in short order. That was Wednesday. It is a 7 to 10 day process to get an answer from that point. So I anticipate an answer next week, then we can close immediately, once everyone has signed off officially.

I picked up the range top and the double ovens. The double ovens are now stuck in my car. Three burly work men, from a remodel project down the street from where the woman I bought it from lives, loaded it in. It just fit, barely, they laid it on its back and slid it in on a piece of cardboard I had brought for that purpose. It is really heavy and fills the whole back of my jeep.
When Tom looked at it, he decided to leave it in the car. He said we could just drive it up to the new house and unload it there eventually. He would ask some friends to help him unload it. Meanwhile it has put my jeep out of commission for hauling anything, since it is full to the brim with double oven.

I walked the yard pulling any weeds that dared to poke their heads up through the new bark. I am hopeful that the weed cloth helps suppress most of them. It is just around the edges of the beds or the base of plantings that leave exposed areas.

Trevor had band practice this morning. It is a gorgeous day. He was told to wear red white and blue for the parade Monday. They are only playing one song,"Great Balls of Fire". The dance team will be marching with them. Trevor will be on the base drum.

Now I really must get back to packing and sorting. We may be within a week of closing with a little luck and a prayer. I am trying to do everything but pack these days. Trevor discovered the donation box of army men and started pulling out all sorts of "Treasures". I gave the neighbor boys a few to take on their trip. It will keep them busy to have a few "new" toys. If they bury them somewhere or blow them up with fireworks, its not a big deal.

Pick a spot and start packing.
