Last night my realtor called. The seller had seen a lawyer who advised her to sign. She was told there was no way to get out from under the judgement other than bankruptcy. The news was great for us but the seller was not happy. She wants to consult another lawyer on Monday for a second opinion. Time is short with closing day August 3.
We are not done yet. I wait impatiently. I yelled at the boys. The house was a mess. It was Friday. Tom usually comes home on Fridays. I told the boys to get the house tidied up for their father. Collect dirty dishes from around the house.Trevor moaned and complained about mowing the lawn. I had to yell. It does feel good to yell though and release some of this tension. The call from the Realtor came after the house cleaning.
We wait now for more news. I have no moving date with my movers. I have canceled all utility start ups. Now is the time that we will get confirmation of closing.
The boys are going to the zoo today with my nephew. My sister and I are going to work on Margaret's house. We are helping sort out over 40 years of living in one place, make it a little easier to get around and find things. It will be a nice distraction. They have already donated nine boxes of books. It didn't even make a dent. We are a big book collecting family.

Well, since Trevor was gone all week he really cannot be blamed for the current mess.

ReplyDeleteLove ya!
Mowing the lawn and unloading the car of his bag from the day before, so we can start the load of laundry was not too much to ask for my paying for his camp. These are living under this roof chores that get done regularly. There should not be whining involved or "In a minute" or "I'll get to it later". When Tom tells them to do something they say "Yes, Sir." Makes me cranky when I get the brush off for hours.
