Two days of Sunshine

it is a miracle, two straight days of sun. A few white cotton ball clouds in the distance, but the sun feels great. I went out and filled the weed garbage can to the brim and put it back on the street so It would not be forgotten and be sure to get dumped. I also filled a spare garbage can with lawn grass, since the yard waste garbage can was full of weeds. It barely looks like I made a dent on the weeds. They are growing like a forest in my yard. I am getting them all out down to the roots where I can. Trevor pulled one the other day that was almost as big as he was.

This yard is going to look sharp for the new tenants. It is also avoidance on the packing. Next week, I can't put it off any longer. Monday I am meeting a friend at home depot and picking up boxes. Lots and lots of folded boxes, all the same size for easy stacking. Book boxes work best as they are not too big. I will stay focused and get the books done.

Every closet I open I am overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I have. How my dad organized the end of his life so considerately for all of us, I have no idea. He had sorted through his whole house and had everything in its place. I must admit now I am something of a pack rat. But then sometimes I find just what I need because I kept it for so long, years in fact, before I really needed it.

OK this is motivating me to tackle the boy's toy closet, that stuff is easy to toss, hopefully. Maybe I should wait until they are back at school and have no say in what I load in the car for donation. Or maybe I will just go outside and make more piles of weeds for next week and avoid the mess some more. No, I am going to go tackle the toy closet. I'll keep you posted on the progress when I get done. Yuck.
