hospital time

We make our appointment at 10:30. Blood is drawn and the numbers come back shortly. Riley's platelets are 9 . He will receive platelets. The only problem is its monday and there are no bags of A positive in stock. Red Cross has to be called. We wait for the delivery. Its after 2:30 before Riley is hooked up. The transfusion is quick but we still will need to sit around for an hour to make sure there are no reactions. Just in time for rush hour traffic. I am told Mondays are the worst. Thursday should not be so bad.
